‘Originally from Coatbridge in Scotland Tony is married to Mary and they have four children and seven grandchildren.  Tony and his family moved to South Wales 35 years ago after leaving the RAF and remained here apart from a 5 year period when he returned to Scotland to care for his Mother. He was employed in the car industry for over 20 years....

He has been a member of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffalos (commonly called the Buffs)  in Pontycymmer for 15+ years where he quickly rose through the degrees to become a member of ‘Knights Chapter’ and ‘Grand Lodge Delegate’ which took him all round the UK to participate in Grand Lodge Meetings every 3 months.

Tony has been an active member of SHOUT for over 5 years and attends the Bridgend Group.  Tony became a SHOUT Bridgend County Board Member in 2014.  He is committed to working with residents and service providers across Bridgend County to improve life for over 50s in the County.’

Mary Gribben    

'Originally brought up in Sarn and Bryncethin, Mary has spent most of her life in Bridgend.  She joined the Air Force from school where she met and married Tony, together they have four children and seven grandchildren. In 2008 Mary was employed to provide administrative support to SHOUT and following that involvement she became a member.  Mary took up the role of Secretary in 2013 and is passionate about ensuring a fair deal for older people.'

Geoff Cheetham    

'Geoff has lived in Wales for the last 25 years and has recently taken early retirement from his role as a Corporate Programme Manager. He is now a part time lecturer.

Geoff is a keep fit enthusiast and is a frequent visitor to the Bridgend Life Centre and can often be seen running and cycling around the streets of Bridgend. His passion is improving the fitness of the over 50s in the Bridgend County and he has undertaken a number of specialised courses to qualify to lead the activities.

Geoff is the Vice Chair and has worked with SHOUT for approximately three years.  He is also currently the Chair of the Welsh Senate of Older people.  He is committed to ensuring that the over 50s have the services they need and to be consulted on changes so that they can make informed decisions.  He runs the Tai chi sessions and chair based exercises.
